Thinglink

Thinglink

I created an animate about science for 3rd graders. I decided to focus on space. For this project I created a thinklink. I decided to do a thinklink because I had never done one before and I was already familiar with Pinterest. In my thinklink I provided information about the earth, the moon, and the sun. The information included talks about shape, size, location, and purpose. I thought the thinklink was an awesome and interactive way to help kids learn about the earth, the moon, and the sun. I would show this presentation in class and do my best to involve the children in the presentation to help them learn about the sun, the moon, and the stars.

Standards: 3rd grade science, standard 1: Students will understand that the shape of Earth and the moon are spherical and that Earth rotates on its axis to produce the appearance of the sun and moon moving through the sky.

Describe the shape of Earth and the moon as spherical.

Explain that the sun is the source of light that lights the moon.

List the differences in the physical appearance of Earth and the moon as viewed from space.

Ed-tech Standard 5:Use technology tools (e.g., multimedia authoring, presentation, web tools, digital cameras, scanners) for individual and collaborative writing, communication, and publishing activities to create knowledge products for audiences inside and outside the classroom. (3, 4)
